About the Training for Life Campus Capital Campaign

The overall budget for the Training for Life Campus is $18.5M. Included in this amount is the donation of 16 acres of land in Jefferson City (or $3.2M) that the Campus will be built on. The Training for Life Campus project is a 34,000 square foot building that contains a Sports & Recreation Arena, including a full gym. Right now, we are working on raising the remaining $1.5M for the outdoor fields and sports equipment.

Outdoor facilities include practice soccer fields, bocce ball courts, tennis courts, softball field, track, horseshoe pits, shotput and long jump, golf skills, Law Enforcement Torch Run Plaza, pavilion, and tribute trail. Special Olympics Missouri is a year-round program of sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. More than 15,000 athletes participate in 21 Olympic-type sports throughout the state. Special Olympics provides people with intellectual disabilities continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage and experience joy.
