Join us to help wrap-up the 2020 Plunge season. Mayor Tergin and Sheriff Wheeler invite you to join them in Jefferson City on December 2, 2020. Each plunger is asked to raise a minimum $500 for the first official dip of the winter! Will the Mayor or Sheriff have the winning team this year?
This "unbearable" event is a unique opportunity to show your bravery as you support local Special Olympics athletes by plunging into the frigid winter waters. Proceeds benefit Special Olympics Missouri. SOMO exists to provide year-round sports and training opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities and our athletes need you to get involved. Become a coach, volunteer, recruit a future athlete and learn how you can make a difference!
Participants must be at least 10 years old and raise a minimum of $500 by event day. The Polar Plunge Power Hour is a project of the Law Enforcement Torch Run(R) for Special Olympics Missouri. Cole County Sheriff's Department is proud to host this event.
Polar Plunge is a family friendly event. Special Olympics Missouri promotes inclusion as a way of life for not only our athletes but everyone at our events. We reserve the right to ask anyone to alter/remove their costume if found offensive or harmful to those in attendance.
You may mail offline donations to: Special Olympics Missouri, Polar Plunge, 305 Special Olympics Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65101. Please include your name in the memo line of checks.
