Welcome to My Personal Page
Mark Harris has been an athlete with Special Olympics Missouri for 20 years participating in Athletics, Basketball, Bowling, Volleyball, Powerlifting, Softball, and Flag Football. At the 2018 USA Games, Mark will be competing in Athletics (Track and Field). Previously, Mark has had the opportunity of going to the 2006 USA Games in Iowa competing in Powerlifting, the 2010 USA Games in Nebraska competing in Volleyball and the 2014 USA Games in New Jersey competing in Volleyball. Mark’s favorite moment while participating in Special Olympics was when he won gold in the 2006 USA Games in Iowa in powerlifting. In his free time, Mark enjoys listening to music and playing video games. Mark says that his hero is his Mom and Dad because they support and encourage him to always do better. Currently, Mark works at Vocational Rehab where he does assembly work. Mark is looking forward to going to Seattle and competing again on a national level.
This will be the 50th anniversary of Special Olympics. Eunice Kennedy Shriver created the Special Olympics in July 1968. I'm so honored to have been selected as a member of Team Missouri for the National Games that will be a celebration of 50 years of Special Olympics. This is truly a once in a lifetime event.
For the 2018 National Games I will be competing in the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 4x100 meter relay and the shotput. I will be working hard and training during the months leading up to the USA Games. I hope to make you proud! Thank you for your support to help make my dream, a reality.
Our cheer is: Show Me, Show Me, Show Me. MO, MO, MO!!! I hope to show you MOMAGIC in 2018 in Seattle.
